Hello
What started as one rant about Peninsula Link traffic somehow turned into a rapidly growing online community where thousands of people show up daily for sarcasm, satire, and brutally honest observations about life on the Mornington Peninsula (and beyond).
I write comedic reviews about places, suburbs, everyday situations, and the strange little things we all experience but rarely say out loud. My style is blunt, relatable, and unapologetically Aussie — the kind of humour that makes people tag their mates and say “this is literally you.”
Since launching the page, the community has grown faster than I ever imagined. What began as a joke quickly turned into something much bigger — a platform where locals connect, laugh, share stories, and support each other.
Outside of writing, I’m also:
• A published author of Unhinged Reviews & Stories
• A content creator and podcaster
• A merch creator (yes, the bucket hats and stubby holders are real)
• A passionate supporter of local businesses and community fundraising
My Story
I’m Bec — the voice behind Bec’s Unhinged Reviews.
The page started during a really difficult period in my life. After experiencing serious workplace bullying that deeply impacted my mental health, I found myself needing an outlet — somewhere I could laugh again and just be myself.
One day I wrote a sarcastic rant about Peninsula Link traffic. It was just meant to be a funny post for a few friends. Instead, thousands of people related to it, shared it, and suddenly a whole community started forming around the humour.
What began as a way to cope turned into something much bigger.
Today, Bec’s Unhinged Reviews is a place where people come to laugh, tag their mates, and recognise the chaos of everyday life. It’s grown into books, merch, a podcast and an incredible online community I never expected.
Outside the page I’m just Bec — a wife to Ben, a mum to Carter and Astrid, and someone who believes humour can bring people together even in the toughest moments.
This page started as a way to survive a hard chapter.
Now it’s become something pretty special.
